Valentino Rossi wins an exciting dash to the finish line in German MotoGP round at Sachsenring against team-mate Jorge Lorenzo. Dani Pedrosa finished third after early leader Casey Stoner dropped back due to tire problems, the Australian finishing fourth.
Marco Simoncelli won the 250 race, Julian Simon the 125 event
Alain Menu wins the first race at Brands Hatch ahead of team-mate Rob Huff and a hard trying Andy Priaulx.
Andy Soucek wins the second Formula 2 race ahead o Robert Wickens and Mikhail Aleshin. The race was overshadowed by an incident that saw Henry Surtees being hit by a wheel that came of Jack Clarke’s car and hit the tire barriers at high speed. No news so far on the condition of the son of former motorbike and Formula 1 World Champion John Surtees, who’s been airleifted to the hospital in Northampton.
Gary Paffett wins the fourth round of the German DTM series at Zandvoort for Mercedes-Benz ahead of the Audis of Mattias Ekström, Oliver Jarvis, Alexandre Premat and Martin Tomczyk.
