Dear Daily Mail: I demand an explanation !
It’s no secret that printing news on recycled chopped down trees is a dying industry. And ANYTHING will do to keep those zombies going. If for the sake of selling yet another couple of copies to declare something EXCLUSIVE that, in fact, we at P1Mag brought as our title story in issue 21 on the 13th of October (!) is either…
a) rather slow research
b) ctrl copy + ctrl paste journalism
c) just plain desperation
d) or a couple of the above in one
The story in our edition no. 21 revolved around actually Mercedes-Benz holding the cards for the trio Kimi Räikkönen, Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg. Due to the fact that the current exclusivity is currently being negotiated between McLaren and Mercedes-Benz, the laatter putting pressure on CEO Martin Whitmarsh with a second team (BrawnGP). As Mercedes-Benz cannot acquire any shares at current from BrawnGP, they might as well drop leasing payments for the engines and take over the driver’s salaries, turning them into Mercedes-drivers, loaned to the teams. It is believed that Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg are already under contract while the one with Kimi Räikkönen is being finalized between the Finn’s management and the carmaker.
Mclaren will be under pressure to either agree terms Mercedes-Benz are now dictating or seek other options for their engine supply. As Kimi Räikkönen wants garantuees from McLaren about their engine situation beyond 2010, which Martin Whitmarsh cannot offer at this moment, Kimi is more likely to be positioned with BrawnGP alongsider Nico Rosberg. That would mean Jenson Button alongside Lewis Hamilton. And that final phrase is what you picked up from our story, amigos…
Of course I didn’t post this earlier here. We’re into having P1Mag downloaded by as many readers as possible. But the story has been there for download since 13th of October. And my guess is the Daily Mail’s translator is perhaps not very quick…

Mario Bauer, please, we need a english version of P1Mag.
