Honestly, I cannot understand how Journalists in the UK and Brazil are excited about the “news” of Rubens Barrichello and Nico Hülkenberg driving a Cosworth-powered Williams in the 2010 F1 World Championship. It’s been a known fact for roughly a month now… Oh, I forgot: It’s no longer “speculation“. Funny one: Brazilian Website Grande Premio claims on Twitter having had the scoop out first. Really? NASCAR – McMurray wins chaotic Talladega 500

Jamie McMcMurray won the Amp Energy 500 at Talladega – his third career victory in the Sprint cup Series – under caution during a green-white-checkered finish when the second multi-car wreck in the closing laps ended the race. Mark Martin barrel-rolled over just a few laps after Ryan Newman had gotten airborne, even triggering a red flag period. Kasey Kahne claims second and Joey Logano takes third. Jimmie Johnson finished 12th. Reports of this and all other races of the Weekend in P1Mag’s next edition as of  Tuesday.

Vettel runner-up by winning

Sebastian Vettel clinches victory in the final Formula 1 race of the season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the spectacular Yas Marina Circuit, thus finishing the season as runner-up to World Champion Jenson Button. The podium positions alongside the German youngster went to Mark Webber and Jenson Button,


Bleekemolen wins Supercup finale

Porsche Supercup Champion Jeroen Bleekemolen won the serie’s season finale at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit today, after René Rast – the winner of yesterday’s race – had crossed the line first, but had a penalty of one second handed to him. FIA-GT2-Champion Richard Westbrook finished 3rd with Faulkner, Balzan, Jäger, Zampedri, Rosina, Halliday and Williams completing the  Top 10.

Formula 2 – Double glory for Soucek

Andy Soucek won today – like yesterday’s race – the final round of the Formula Two Championship at Barcelona with a dominant start to finish win ahead of Nicola de Marco, Robert Wickens, Kazim Vasiliauskas, Tobias Hegewald, Tristan Vautier, Mikhail Aleshin, Julien Jousse and Philip Eng.

GP2 Asia – Vietoris victorious

Christian Vietoris finished his first race Weekend at the wheel of a GP2 race car with a superb start to finish win of the second round of GP2 Asia Yas Marina Circuit ahead of yesterday’s race winner Davide Valsecchi, who only managed to overtake rookies Alexander Rossi and – in the final lap – Josef Král.

Farfus takes WTCC title decision to Macau

Augusto Farfus wins Race 2 of the WTCC's Japanese round ahead of Andy Priaulx, Yvan Muller, Alain Menu, Nicola Larini, Rob Huff, Gabriele Tarquini and Rickard Rydell. Stefano d'Aste wins the Independent class.
This result means we will see a tree way title fight at the final round at Macau as Farfus is now only 11 points away from Muller and 13 from leader Tarquini.

Stefan Mücke und Harold Primat dominierten zwar das zweite Rennen in Okayama, doch der Gesamtsieg bei der Asien Le Mans Series ging an das Team Sora Racing Pescarolo dank dem Sieg am Vortag und P2 am heutigen Sonntag durch das Duo Christophe Tinseau/Shinji Nakano.
Die Klassensiege gingen an:
LM P2:Lathaye-Nicolet-Hein: Pescarolo-Mazda
LM GT1: Tsuchiya-Tsuzuki: Aston Martin DBR9

Andy Priaulx takes 12th WTCC win

WTCC: Andy Priaulx wins Race 1 of the Okayama round ahead of Jörg Müller, Rob Huff, Yvan Muller, Gabriele Tarquini, Marc Gené, Tiago Monteiro and Augusto Farfus who will start from Pole in Race 2 and has got a 21 points deficit to leader Tarquini.

Tinseau/Nakano take overall win at first round of Asian LMS

Stefan Mücke and Harold Primat dominated the second race, overall victory in the first Asian Le Mans Series went to the Sora Racing Pescarolo thanks to Christophe Tinseau’s and Shinji Nakano’s win on Saturday and second place today.
