First new Lotus-Renault presented

Team Lotus beat their unloved counter part Lotus Renault GP by launching their brand new T128 – not TL11 as it had been suggested – before the Enstone based outfit.

Insisting on the Lotus “Type” numbering system is clearly a statement and aimed to provoke the Lotus Group. Tony Fernandez’ team is putting quite some faith in the new car, expecting it to take them from the best of the new teams to mid-field contenders and points finishes.
