
Sebastian Vettel has won the Monaco Grand Prix after a wild 6-lap-dash to the chequered flag, following a red flag interruption of the race on the 72th lap after an accident that involved Jaime Alguersuari and Vitaly Petrov. The Russian driver had to be extracted from his car by the medical staff hence the race being stopped. There’s no word on the condition of the Renault driver for the moment.
Fernando Alonso chased Vettel till the flag and finished second ahead of Jenson Button, Mark Webber Kamui Kobayashi and Lewis Hamilton, who is under inverstigation by the race stewards after crashing Pastor Maldonado out three laps from the finish.
