Sebastian Vettel continues his 2011 winning streak by taking the chequered flag in Malaysia first, too. As in the practice sessions the team McLaren drivers confirmed their status as the reigning World Champion’s toughest challengers with Jenson Button finishing second. Lewis Hamilton, over a long distance in second place, had to surrender to his team-mate and in the final few laps to Nick Heidfeld, the German taking his first podium with the Renault F1 team. Mark Webber took fourth place ahead of Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso, who had to stop for a new front wing after clashing with Lewis Hamilton who finished seventh ahead of Kamui Kobayashi, Michael Schumacher and Paul Di Resta – the Scot scoring another world championship point in his second Grand Prix.
