It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Georg Plasa, the points leader of the 2011 European Hill Climb Championship.


The German suffered a severe crash with his famous Judd-powered BMW 134 Coupe at 200 Km/h during an Italian hill climb race at Rieti near rome. The accident happeende roughly a kilometer from the finish line, Plasa was airlifted to hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.

Our thoughts are with Georg’s family and friends in this difficult times. The above video is our farewell to a true racer. we will also portrait the likeable late Bavarian driver in the upcoming issue of P1Mag.
