Will Power bounced back from a horrible Sunday in Toronto to win this Sunday’s next Canadian round of the IZOD IndyCar Series at the Edmonton Airport circuit, beating his team-mate Helio Castroneves to the flag and completing an almost perfect Sunday for Australian sportamen after Cadel Evans won the Tour de France. Pole-sitter Taku Sato became the victim of a misjudged attack by Ryan Hunter-Reay, dropping the Japanese driver a lap behind. Dario Franchitti preserved his title defence options finishing third and with Ryan Briscoe having to reliquish P4 for a splah & dash, Tony Kanaan finished fourth from Justin Wilson and Sébastien Bourdais.
