Jason Plato led every lap for his fifth win of the season but only after his Chevrolet Cruze and arch rival Matt Neal’s Honda Civic had controversially collided at the first corner at Snetterton. Scottish ace Gordon Shedden steered his Honda Racing Civic past Plato’s Cruze on his way to his fourth win of the season, taking the championship lead in the process in race two. But Mat Jackson recorded his fourth of the season in the final race of the day, moving the Airwaves Racing Ford Focus driver past Shedden into the series lead. It’s the second time today and the fifth time this season that championship lead has changed hands in the BTCC!
