The #8 Peugeot of Montagny/Sarrazin/Wurz took a comfortable win in the Petit Le Mans after the #1 Audi crashed in traffic with Romain Dumas at the wheel during a huge battle between them, when Dumas on lap 296 clipped a GTC Porsche while trying to squeeze past Montagny.
Dumas climbed out of the wreck unhurt Audi’s hopes of victory were dahsed as the #2 car had also been involvoed in several incidents and was down in P34. The ORECA Peugeot of Lapierre/Minassian/Gene finished second, three laps behind the race-leading factory car, the Aston Martin Racing’s Lola of Fernandez/Primat/Mücke.
The GT battle was a tight battle till the flag with Fisichella/Bruni/Kaffer, sharing the AF Corse Ferrari, taking the win ahead of Bergmeister/Long/Pilet and the BMW of Müller/Hand/Priaulx
Tucker/Bouchut/Barbosa took the HPD ARX-01G to the LMP2 win and Lewis/Dobson/Richard took the LMPC CLass fpr PR1 Motorsport.
