Who would have guessed prior to the Malaysian Grand Prix that Fernando Alonso would leave the Sepang circuit on Sunday evening as the new World championship leader and that Sergio Perez would be hailed as F1’s hottest property? Or on a less positive note: Who would have thought that after two races Lewis Hamilton would have two pole positions but no race win to his score … and multizillion operation Mercedes AMG would only be leading backmarkers Caterham, Marussia and HRT by a single point…

We bring in P1Mag’s issue no. 7 an extensive report on the Malaysian Grand Prix, plus all the action from the streets of Saint Petersburg, including IndyCars, Indy Lights, World Challenge, Star Mazda, and USF2000 Series, as well as covering the MotoGP official test day and the GP2 Series season-opener, the NASCAR races from Fontana and the Formula Renault ALPS races in Monza.
