After Mat Jackson won the fourth race of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, Gordon Shedden made it four out of six by taking races five and six.

Mat Jackson took victory in the opening race in terrible conditions at Thruxton. The race had to be red-flagged after Liam Griffin’s Redstone Racing Ford Focus got stuck on the wet grass.

Gordon Shedden stormed to victory in the second race of the weekend from sixth on the grid to take the chequered flag more than three seconds clear of second-placed Jason Plato and early leader Mat Jackson.

Continueing his good form, Shedden took a second victory in the final race from ninth on the reverse grid draw with team-mate Matt Neal finishing in second and Frank Wrathall in third, taking his first rostrum finish of the year. Andy Jordan was fifth ahead of Mat Jackson, with Rob Collard and Lea Wood seventh and eighth despite a clash at the final corner which saw both go off across the grass.
