6/3/1921, Piero Carini is born in Genova, Italy

Carini drove a Scuderia Marzotto Ferrari 166 in the French and German Grands Prix in 1952. Went on to race sports cars winning the Mille Miglia, the Tour of Sicily and the Targa Florio. He died in his Ferrari in a head-on crash at the 6 heures de Forez race near Saint Etienne. His car inexplicably veered across the central barrier and collided head-on with a similar machine.

Born: 6th of March 1921 in Genova, Italy;
Died: 30th of May 1957 in Saint-Etienne, France.
