Who would have guessed that the 2012 silly season would hinge around Mark Webber? And yet the 2012 Monaco and British Grand Prix winner had two top teams as a choice – and chose Red Bull Racing over Ferrari. As surprising as this may seem, there were good reasons for his choice and we shed some light on some of the best reasons to continue with RBR.

Besides the coverage on the British Grand Prix in Silverstone we got a Q&A with Mark Weber in this issue, plus the FIM World MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 Championship races at the Sachsenring plus FIA GT1 World and European GT3 Championship round in Portimão. We cover the IndyCar Series and the Star Mazda Championship races in Toronto and the GP2 and GP3 Series rounds in Silverstone.

From the States we got reports on the American Le Mans Series race at Lime Rock Park, the NASCAR races at Daytona Int’l Speedway and Trans-Am Series race in Watkins Glen. Plus a variety of GT, rally and single-seater series from all over Europe.
