In the second season round of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship at Silverstone, Harry Tincknell (Carlin), Felix Rosenqvist (kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport) and Raffaele Marciello (Prema Powerteam) shared the wins in the British round.
Marciello has found a new rival in Rosenqvist, the two rivals staging a great battle for victory in the weekend’s thrid race , which eventually went to Marciello. Rosenqvist had taken the spoils in the second race, having messed up the re-start after a safety car phase and having dropped back to third for a while. Determined to make up for ground lost, the Swede battled his way up into the lead again.
Eight drivers and four teams with British licences are competing in this year’s FIA Formula 3 European Championship. For them, the racing weekend at Silverstone was the first home round of the year and Harry Tincknell (Carlin) was the driver to make most of his ambitions with a pair of pole positions and his first win in the series in the first race, also handing Volkswagen its first F3 win of the season.
