Mexican ace Pedro Rodríguez was killed forty years ago today during an Interserie sports car race at the Norisring in Nuremberg, Germany.

Rodriguez was driving a Ferrari 512M of Herbert Müller Racing, his Swiss friend and partner at the Targa Florio earlier that year, when a collision with a slower car triggered the fatal accident.

  1. Pedro, thank you for the memories! We always remember you even after 40 years of your early departure. You have been our best car racer ever. May you and Ricardo keep racing forever in heaven.

  2. Pedro is my personal hero. I have always admire him and his brother Ricardo. They both had a lot to give in F1 and they both (specially Ricardo) had a lot left in them, I’m sure that Ricardo just needed a year or two more before becoming a World Champion. And Pedro was just and amazing driver in the wet and in LeMans.
